Stained Glass weekend workshop Lead Lights for beginners
8th & 9th February
4th & 5th April
13th & 14th June
In this workshop you can learn the basis of leaded stained glass.
We will go through:
-The art of cutting glass
-Choice of subject and design
-Moving the drawing into cardboard templates
-Cutting the different pieces of glass
-Leading
-Welding
-Cementing, polishing, and finishing your project.
We will complete a simple leaded panel 20 x 20 cm.
We'll go through from beginning to end in two days, which means it will be intensive, but I can guarantee that you will have a lovely experience
Maximum 5 people for course for maximum individual attention.
All tools, equipment and consumables provided but please, bring a packed lunch.
What to bring : Please wear comfortable clothing in layers with flat covered footwear.
As we'll work with lead, this course is not suitable for pregnant and lactating mothers.
Price per person: £ 160.00
Saturday 10 am to 3 pm (with half an hour break for lunch)
Sunday 10 pm to 1 pm.

Commissions, restauration and of course his very own pieces of art: one can feel not only his expertise in diverse techniques but also his unique vision. In addition, he is really generous with his knowledge: I was able to join a workshop in his atelier and, being a teacher myself, I was amazed by both the QUALITY of the course itself and the didactics. All materials being included we REALLY LEARN how to make a piece of stained glass, and have so much fun with David.
